L’Auberge Lake Charles Unveils 2012 Liquid Society Lineup
L’Auberge announced the 2012 lineup for Liquid Society, the property’s popular summertime poolside concert series. This year’s events will feature performances by Uncle Kracker, Candlebox, and Vertical Horizon, among many others. On May 24, Bret Michaels will headline the launch of the weekly series which will run through August with a season finale special performance by All American Rejects. L’Auberge Lake Charles Donates $11,100+ to The Mission Continues
L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles recently donated $11,100+ as the Warrior sponsor of the ReALLIEty Challenge benefitting The Mission Continues program. L’Auberge was pleased to participate in the inaugural event that promoted self-determination and teamwork while raising funds for veterans. The Mission Continues was founded in 2007 and awards community service fellowships to post-9/11 veterans, empowering them to transform their own lives by serving others and directly impacting their communities. L’Auberge Lake Charles Donates $5,300 to Louisiana Lung Cancer Partnership
L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles donated $5,300 as the presenting sponsor of the Louisiana Lung Cancer Partnership’s Free to Breathe Walk. L’Auberge had the largest team participate with over 150 team members supporting this cause. All proceeds from the walk help raise awareness and funding for the movement to defeat lung cancer. Congratulations to Boomtown and Masterminds
Masterminds received six awards at the Philadelphia ADDYs for their “Welcome to Boomtown” campaign. This ad work was done by Masterminds to help re-brand our Boomtown properties. The inspiration behind the campaign came from several ideas, but ultimately represents a welcoming to a familiar place and state of mind. The ADDY awards are given by the American Advertising Federation and are considered the world’s largest advertising competition. 2011 Boomtown New Orleans Recognition Award Winners – A Sea of Talent
Recognition Award winners from 2011 were treated to an Under Sea Adventure in the annual awards celebration. After being greeted by a Brazilian Samba band, stilt walker, and a beautiful mermaid and her dashing king, the nominees enjoyed dinner and gifts before the winners were announced at a special party in Boomers. Winners included Fernando Prudencio, Roko Tvdeic, John Dicken, George Powell, and Excellence Award winner April Croom. An extra congratulations goes out to April who also won the Pinnacle Excellence Award! She was chosen as the winner after being considered alongside all nominees throughout our company! Boomtown Bossier Donates $15,000 to Robinson Film Center
The Pinnacle Foundation and Boomtown Bossier donated $15,000 to The Robinson Film Center. The Film Center provides a venue for independent, international, and classic cinema while serving as a resource for film production and media education. They offer film and media production classes for all ages and provide a variety of resources and facilities to the region’s burgeoning film industry. L’Auberge Baton Rouge Race for the Cure
Team LBR ran in the Susan G Komen 5k race in Baton Rouge to support breast cancer research and treatment in the region. This year’s event, held on LSU’s campus, had over 10,000 participants who raised $536,000 – 80% of Komen’s overall fundraising goal for the event. Great job, Team LBR! L’Auberge and LSU Partner to Preserve Artifacts
LSU’s Rural Life Museum will complete an excavation at the riverfront site where LBR is under construction. The property was formerly home to a plantation and Native American village – officials will be collecting and analyzing any artifacts found. The $1.3 million project is being funded by LBR, and will last through 2014. PNK Foundation Honors McNeese State University Professors
The PNK Foundation honored six acclaimed professors from McNeese State University with Pinnacle Excellence Awards. The annual awards were established in 2003 as part of a partnership between Pinnacle and McNeese to recognize outstanding faculty achievement and are granted by the Pinnacle Entertainment Foundation. L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles donated $21,370 as the Presenting Sponsor of the Salvation Army Empty Bowl. Guests enjoyed an array of soups prepared by local restaurants and received a handcrafted bowl to commemorate the evening.
